PGA Tour Announces the World Wide Technology Championship in Los Cabos

It was announced today that the 2023 World Wide Technology Championship, an annual FedExCup event, will be held this fall at El Cardonal Course located at Diamante Cabo San Lucas in the beautiful Mexican state of Baja California Sur.

As the first golf course designed by 82-time PGA TOUR winner Tiger Woods and TGR Design, El Cardonal has become a must-play destination for golf enthusiasts worldwide. This par-72, 7,300-yard layout is influenced by Southern California courses that Woods grew up playing and features breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean.

The World Wide Technology Championship will showcase 132 players competing for 500 FedExCup points. Following the FedExCup Playoffs, which concluded in August at the TOUR Championship, the fall events will finalize the top-125 eligibility for the next FedExCup season, which begins in January.

“We are excited to build on our partnership with World Wide Technology as we continue to develop the growth of our sport in Mexico and across Latin America,” said Tyler Dennis, PGA TOUR EVP and President.

As a private resort nestled along the coastline of Los Cabos, Diamante is proud to host this world-class event and showcase to the world what a great golf destination the region of Los Cabos has become. In addition to El Cardonal, Diamante also features the Dunes Course, designed by Davis Love III, as well as the TGR-designed Oasis Short Course, a 12-hole, par-3 course.

“We are honored and excited by the opportunity to host the World Wide Technology Championship at Diamante and bring unmatched exposure to our region. We are thankful to WWT and the PGA TOUR for bringing this world-class event to Diamante,” said Ken Jowdy, CEO of Legacy Properties and developer of Diamante.

    Fed-Ex Cup Champion Rory Mcllroy

The World Wide Technology Championship is one of two FedExCup events in Mexico, along with the Mexico Open at Vidanta. The PGA TOUR has visited the country every year since 2007, the first time it held a full-field event outside the United States or Canada.

All four rounds of the 2023 World Wide Technology Championship will be carried live on Golf Channel in the United States and Latin America, including Mexico.

As a premier accommodations provider in the region, Cabo VIP Rentals is excited to welcome golf enthusiasts from around the world to experience the stunning beauty of Los Cabos and witness the drama and excitement of the World Wide Technology Championship at El Cardonal Course. Additional information on the remainder of the fall schedule will be announced when available, so stay tuned!

The 48-Hour Love Affair in Cabo San Lucas

The 48-Hour Love Affair in Cabo San Lucas

Listen, I’ve been to some incredible places in my travels, but Cabo San Lucas, man, it’s a real standout. If you’re a couple looking for an unforgettable experience, look no further. You’ve got 48 hours to fall in love with this place, so let’s make the most of it.

First things first, the beauty of this place will take your breath away. The contrast between the turquoise waters of the Sea of Cortez and the desert landscape is something to behold. And the sunsets? I mean, words can’t do them justice. It’s a photographer’s dream and a romantic’s paradise.

Now, let’s talk about food. I always say that food is the way to a culture’s heart, and Cabo’s got a big, beating one. Fresh seafood is the name of the game here, and you’ll find the best of it at the bustling Mercado Municipal. Grab a drink, a plate of shrimp tacos, and people-watch to your heart’s content. And for a more upscale dining experience, head to Edith’s Restaurant. Their menu is inspired by traditional Mexican cuisine, but with a modern twist. Trust me, you won’t regret it.

And if you’re feeling adventurous, take a boat trip to Lover’s Beach. It’s only accessible by boat, its seclusion makes it the perfect spot for a picnic or a dip in the sea. Don’t forget to snap a photo at the famous arch at Land’s End on the way there.

Now, I know what you’re thinking, 48 hours is not enough time to do everything Cabo has to offer. But that’s the beauty of it, you’ll be left wanting more. And isn’t that what the best love affairs are all about?

Cabo San Lucas is a special place, with its stunning natural beauty, delicious food, and endless adventures. Whether you’re a seasoned traveler or a first-timer, you won’t regret visiting and revisiting. And I guarantee that 48 hours will fly by in the blink of an eye, leaving you with memories that will last a lifetime. So pack your bags, grab your significant other, and let the love affair begin.

    Own life.
