Vendors on the beach sell all sorts of wares, including everything from silver jewelry and blankets to sombreros and trinkets. You could literally spend all day at the beach and still not have done half of the fun things offered. Lovers Beach

Known as Playa del Amor, or Lover’s Beach, this tiny little spit of secluded sands is probably the most popular and yet most sublime of the swimmable beaches in Los Cabos. Nestled between two prominent jagged granite rock formations, the beach is one of the most sought-after attractions in Cabo San Lucas as it offers up so much to do. Don’t worry about how to get to the spot – the easiest way is simply via water taxi from Medano Beach across the bay, or if you have some ambition it’s a quick and relaxing paddleboard or kayak ride over calm, turquoise waters. Glass-bottom boats in the marina will also run trips to the sands, offering up a unique perspective of the tropical fish and marine life below. Snorkeling is popular here as marine diversity flourishes beneath the surface, while scuba diving the underwater sand-falls of Neptune’s Finger draw even the most accomplished diver to experience something magical. If all you are looking for is a quiet walk with your love and possibly a little bit of swimming to cool off, look no further. One word of advice is to bring a pair of shoes, as the sands can gather plenty of heat during the afternoon hours and you most definitely want to protect your feet.

So, come along and discover the secrets of one of Cabo’s most alluring and captivating destinations – Divorce Beach.

Chileno Beach

One of the top highlighted swimmable beaches in Los Cabos is Playa Chileno along the Tourist Corridor. Its draw is not due to the flashy and busy shores such as at Cabo San Lucas’ Medano Beach, but a more laid-back atmosphere permeates the area. The calm, azure blue waters are some of the finest in the area for engaging in snorkeling and swimming due to their Blue Flag safety rating. Visitors can spend the day in the beach, as well as wash off their feet and clean up at provided shower systems. Other on-site amenities include trash disposal stations, portable toilets and a lifeguard stand to overlook swimmers. Access is easy, as parking lots are available for anyone renting a car and driving to the beach. Many boat tours do run from the San Lucas marina, so if you are without a car you can always hop a ride for a day out sun-bathing. Feel free to explore Chileno Beach, but don’t be shy to visit other surrounding beaches to get a different feel such as at Santa Maria Beach only just over a mile away.

Santa Maria Beach

Just a stone’s throw away from the populated beaches of Cabo San Lucas, Santa Maria Beach lies along the Tourist Corridor in Los Cabos, inviting the visitor to come take a worthy dunk in its serene blue waters. A sheltered, natural cove, the sands of its swimmable beaches rest between two large granite rocks that block the hard influence of the pounding surf swell and constant winds, making it a prime-time destination for tourists looking to safely go swimming, snorkeling, and diving. The shallow waters are considered a protected marine sanctuary, which delights visitors peering under the waters’ surface at hundreds of eclectic species of tropical fish to please the eye. Morning hours are best suited for optimal visibility in the clear water. Playa Santa Maria lies by the Twin Dolphin hotel and can be accessed by car or visited via any of the running water boat tours coming from Cabo San Lucas Marina. Another feature of the beach is that it lies in close proximity to Chileno Beach – another quiet, fabulous respite that you can easily hop over to for a change of scenery.

Playa Acapulquito

Playa Acapulquito is a charming beach located at the Cabo Surf Hotel, and is great place for those who are learning how to surf. This charming beach is very popular and attracts many surfers with Mike Doyle Surf School ready to give you lessons or rent a board. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, this spot is a great place to catch some waves! Just above the surf school is the 7 Seas Restaurant which gives visitors the option of taking a break and getting a bit to eat while watching the waves.

SURFING

Known as a major surfing destination, the beaches of San José del Cabo are lined with proper spots to catch the wave of a lifetime. Surf breaks can accommodate any level, from beginner waves at Acapulquito to the more challenging breaks at Monuments Beach. At Cerritos, a surf school offers lessons to get beginners on a board and help those with a little experience learn the tricks of the trade. Prime season for paddling out is during the winter months when the swells pump on the shore. Check a local surf map to set your own schedule and camp out with a few friends to chase the swells.

Monuments Beach or Playa Monumento is a small beach popular with the surfing set and has the closest surf to Cabo San Lucas, just a few miles out of town.
