San Jose del Cabo: San José del Cabo is considered the “quiet side” of Los Cabos, in comparison to its dynamic neighbor, Cabo San Lucas. San José has an appealing downtown area, displaying the charms of its 18th-century colonial architecture and warm, old-fashioned hospitality. Many arts and crafts shops are purveying local wares, and a lovely church in the main plaza, some of which dates back to the Jesuit founding of the mission of San José del Cabo in 1730.
